App: HVAC Calq Developer and data controller: Nine Loops Studio Ltd, a company registered in Ireland (“the developer”) Address: 125 Viewmount, Rathdrum, Wicklow, Ireland Contact: hi@nineloops.co

1. Summary

HVAC Calq is a native iOS application for HVAC commissioning calculations. It is an on-device tool.

HVAC Calq does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. All information you enter remains on your device, under your control.

This policy is aligned with the “Data Not Collected” privacy label declared for HVAC Calq on the App Store.

2. Data we collect

None.

HVAC Calq does not collect any data from you or your device. Specifically, it does not collect identifiers (name, email address, phone number, Apple Account, user ID, device ID, advertising ID), contact information, location data, usage analytics, telemetry, crash reports, diagnostic data, contacts, photos, calendar or other system data, financial information, or health and fitness information.

No calculation, project, or setting is ever transmitted. The only network activity the app performs is through Apple’s StoreKit framework, which contacts the App Store to fetch purchase options and to confirm or restore your purchase. The app sends no data about you or your work, and once your purchase is active every calculator works with no signal.

The app contains links to this website’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Tapping one opens the page in your browser; the app itself sends nothing.

3. Data stored locally on your device

HVAC Calq stores the following on your device only:

Data Where Purpose
Project names, sites, dates, and notes you create Apple’s SwiftData framework — a private, sandboxed on-device database So you can organise and revisit saved calculations
Calculation inputs and results you choose to save The same on-device database So you can refer back to previous work
Your unit system and appearance preferences The app’s own on-device settings store (UserDefaults) So the app remembers your settings between sessions

This data sits in the app’s sandboxed container and is inaccessible to the developer, to other apps, and to any third party.

If you back up your device with iCloud Backup, or with a computer using Finder or iTunes, this data may be included in that backup along with the rest of your app data. Backups are a service provided by Apple, governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, and entirely under your control. The developer has no access to your backups.

4. Permissions

HVAC Calq requests no iOS permissions. It does not access the camera, microphone, photo library, location services, contacts, calendar, Bluetooth, local network, tracking, or notifications.

5. Third-party services

HVAC Calq uses no third-party SDKs, libraries, or services. There are no analytics providers, advertising networks, crash-reporting services, social-login providers, or cloud backends in the app.

Separately from the app, iOS itself can share diagnostic and crash data with Apple, and — if you have turned on Share With App Developers in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements — Apple may pass anonymised, aggregated crash reports for HVAC Calq to the developer. This is controlled by you and by Apple, is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, and contains no personal data. You can turn it off at any time in Settings.

6. In-app purchases

HVAC Calq offers optional paid features. All purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store.

  • The developer never receives, sees, or stores your payment card details, billing address, or Apple Account credentials.
  • The developer receives no personal data as a result of your purchase. Apple provides the developer only with anonymised sales and subscription reports that do not identify you.
  • Your purchase status is determined on your device from the signed transaction record Apple provides, and is stored only on your device. If you obtain access through Family Sharing, the same applies.
  • Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

HVAC Calq contains no advertising and no advertising identifiers.

7. Children’s privacy

HVAC Calq is a professional engineering utility. It has no social features, no user accounts, and collects no data from any user, regardless of age. It is not directed at children, and because it collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children.

8. If you contact the developer

The only way the developer can receive personal data from you is if you choose to send it — for example by emailing the address above with a question, bug report, or refund query.

In that case the developer will receive your email address, your name if your email includes it, and whatever you write. This information is used only to reply to you and to fix any problem you report, is not shared with anyone else, and is kept only as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up. The legal basis for this under the GDPR is the developer’s legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. You can ask for your correspondence to be deleted at any time.

9. Your rights

Because HVAC Calq collects no personal data, the developer holds no personal data about you to access, correct, export, or delete — other than any correspondence described in section 8.

You retain full control over the data stored locally on your device. You can delete individual saved calculations or projects from within the app, or delete all app data by uninstalling the app.

Residents of the European Economic Area (GDPR), the United Kingdom (UK GDPR), and California (CCPA/CPRA) have statutory rights over their personal data, including rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal data. Beyond the correspondence described in section 8, the developer does not process any personal data, and never sells or shares any, so those rights are satisfied by default. If you believe this is inaccurate, or want to exercise a right in relation to correspondence, contact the developer using the details below. EEA residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the developer’s lead authority is the Data Protection Commission of Ireland.

10. This website

hvaccalq.com is a static informational site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no third-party content, and contains no forms.

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel may process the IP address of your request and standard request metadata in short-lived server logs in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The developer does not use these logs to identify visitors.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated policy will be published here and the “Last updated” date revised. Material changes may also be noted in the app’s App Store release notes.
